Ghost Trick is an adventure game that follows a man named Sissel who, after dying, uses his new ghostly powers to solve the mystery of his own murder. The game was created by Shu Takumi, the creator of the Ace Attorney series, after he departed the series with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective first released in Japan in 2010 for the Nintendo DS. After the success of its recent Ace Attorney remasters, the publisher is now giving series creator Shu Takumi's other cult classic project an HD remaster, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.
In recent years Capcom has been highlighting some of its more niche franchises thanks to the release of titles such as The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and the upcoming Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Capcom's beloved Nintendo DS game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is set to receive an HD remaster later this year, as announced in the latest Nintendo Direct.
